Duties, Taxes & Tariffs – International Orders

Dancewear For You is an Australian-based business shipping worldwide. When ordering internationally, it’s important to understand how import duties, taxes and tariffs work.

Who pays duties and taxes?

Import duties, taxes, customs fees and tariffs are determined by the destination country’s customs authority and are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are outside our control and are not set by Dancewear For You.

United States Orders 🇺🇸

For customers in the United States:

  • Estimated import duties and taxes may be displayed and/or collected at checkout

  • These estimates are calculated automatically based on:

    • Order value

    • Product category

    • Shipping destination

  • Estimates may include applicable tariffs under current U.S. regulations

Please note:

  • Duties and taxes shown at checkout are estimates only

  • Final assessment is determined by U.S. Customs and/or the carrier

  • In some cases, customs or the carrier may request additional information or additional payment before delivery

  • Tariff rules and thresholds may change without notice

Dancewear For You does not offer Delivered Duties Paid (DDP) shipping via Australia Post. Even when duties are estimated or collected at checkout, U.S. Customs or the carrier may still apply charges on delivery in some circumstances.

If we identify a likely customs issue before dispatch, we will contact you with available options wherever possible.

Other International Orders 🌍

For customers outside the United States:

  • Import duties and taxes are generally not included at checkout

  • Customs charges may be collected by the destination country’s customs authority or courier on delivery

  • Clearance requirements vary by country and shipment value

Important Information

  • Duties, taxes and tariffs are non-refundable once paid

  • Orders may be delayed, held or returned if customs charges are unpaid

  • Shipping fees are non-refundable if a parcel is refused due to customs charges

  • Dancewear For You is not responsible for customs delays, refusals or charges imposed after dispatch
